    NOPNA BY LAWS: MINOR CHANGES

At our November 20th general meeting (Cafe Neon, 7:30pm), the NOPNA

board will request approval of the following small changes to our bylaws in order to expand our Board skill set and clarify code of conduct.

    The changes are:

    • expand the number of board members from 11 to maximum 15 to take

advantage of growing interest in NOPNA and bring new skills to the board

    • extend the number of consecutive terms for President and Vice

President from two years to three years

    • add reference to a "Code of Ethics and Conduct" which each board

member will sign to affirm their commitment to professional conduct as representatives of NOPNA.

We invite you to review the bylaws and proposed changes on our

    website at: http://www.nopnawiki.org/index.php?title=Bylaws

If you have any questions or concerns about these proposed changes,

please contact me by email at Kevin Rafter (Current Vice President and 2009 President-Elect) kevin@nopna. org. We will be voting to approve these changes to the bylaws at our upcoming general meeting on Thursday, November 20th.
